TEACHING POINT:  Further examination of the victim/patient should be rapidly completed to locate any potential exit or secondary wound.

TEACHING POINT:  Although the simulated wound did bleed, looks can be deceiving in terms of the actual quantity of blood loss.  In this depicted situation the open chest injury is significant.
