License Type: Specialized LicenseDepicts simulated injury to a 7 y/o child’s lower leg apparently inflicted by a knife. A child appears quiet, and a knife appears on the floor between the child’s legs. Bystander seems to be applying a tourniquet.
TEACHING POINT. Noting the lack of gloves - could be due to gloves being unavailable to lay provider or due to a training situation.
TEACHING POINT: TQ is applied over the clothes and proximal to the wound which is consistent with the C-TECC Guidelines for immediate/initial care bystanders.
